Our History, Purpose, and Future In 1978, a concept new to the Mortgage Banking industry was born: formalize the training of lending professionals with a series of intensive, structured, and in-depth classes, taught by working, and successful experts in the lending field to ensure proper performance in all areas of mortgage banking and lending. This concept gave birth to the American School of Mortgage Banking. For almost thirty years, ASMB has fulfilled this belief by graduating more than 50,000 students. They can attest to our on-going relevance, both to the individual seeking to enter, or expand within, mortgage banking, and to those institutions which recognize the value of upgrading the proficiency and professionalism of their staffs. We were the first, and have grown to the largest, institution to provide the training needed for this ever-changing and complex industry. ASMB maintains its leadership by offering multi-state locations, private seminars, and employment referrals for its graduates. We are constantly upgrading our courses. All of our teachers are successful professionals currently working in the mortgage banking industry. ASMB maintains its independence because we are not owned or controlled by any other companies or special interest groups. Our only influence comes from the current market conditions and government regulations. In addition, we test what we teach and provide recognized certificates verifying our students’ education and accomplishments. Many lending managers are the proud recipients of this formal recognition. Lastly, all of our graduates are able to take advantage of continuing education, free of charge, for life. You may repeat any class as often as desired. You will find our Alumni in every class, further reaffirming the benefits of training with the American School of Mortgage Banking. For your peace of mind, classes are only offered in states where we have been approved for post-secondary education. Correspondence courses are offered for those who cannot access us directly.
