The Orange County chapter of the National Latina Business Women Association was formed in July 2004. The organization is dedicated to encouraging Latinas to develop their business and professional goals through education, business referrals, networking and mentoring. Our vision is to meet the needs of the growing ranks of Latina entrepreneurs, executives and professionals by creating more representation, visibility and business opportunities for our members in the world of business and at the executive and professional levels of Corporate America. NLBWA-OC offers a number of activities for our members throughout the year, including programs and events such as monthly breakfasts in partnership with the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; semi-annual business mixers; a Latina Financial Group whose goal is to educate Latinas on the dynamics of financial planning; an Emerging Latinas program geared to help Latinas start a businesses the right away; and several recognition and celebratory activities during the year. NLBWA-OC also offers business development through business referrals, presentations on current events and professional development, information on business legislation and laws and advocacy opportunities and events.
