The Banning Chamber of Commerce has served the community of Banning since 1928 making it a better place to live, work and do business. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing local business, providing area residents with access to the rich diversity of their community and is the first step for tourists in our area.

Mission Statement: 

            The mission of the Banning Chamber of Commerce is to advocate the commercial, industrial, civic and general interests of the City of Banning and the San Gorgonio Pass.

Vision Statement: 

            The vision of the Banning Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the working relationship between the business community, the governmental agencies and the public to make Banning a better place to live, work and do business.

             The Banning Chamber draws its membership from big business, small business, governmental agencies, home-based businesses, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, clubs, senior citizens and other community-spirited individuals. You do not need to be a resident of Banning or have your business in Banning to join the Banning Chamber of Commerce. Anyone with an interest in our community is welcome. Some of the resources of the Chamber are The Visitors Information Center, Business Contacts and referrals, Advertising and Leadership Opportunities. 

            A Board of Directors who sets policy by fulfilling the Mission Statement and Vision Statement governs the chamber. With over 300 members our Board of fifteen volunteer Directors oversees the day-to-day operation of the Chamber.

The following are Banning Chamber of Commerce goals and some of the projects planned to achieve those goals:

• Business Retention and expansion
• Membership Drive, Visitations and Training Programs
• Improve the image of Banning and the Chamber
• Cleanup Programs and partnering with various agencies
• Increase Revenue Sources
• Grants, increase membership and contracts for service
• Improve communication
• Press releases, Channel 10, updated website and newsletter
• Better visibility for Chamber and Community functions
• Telemarketing, e-mail, flyers with the school district, banners and Channel 10

The Banning Chamber of Commerce includes specific events and programs to meet these objectives, including but not limited to:

• Roasting of a Prominent Banning Citizen three times a year

• Annual Golf Tournament

• Drag Races twice a year

• Annual State of the City Address

• Annual Stagecoach Days

• Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings upon request
