SACC-GLA is a non-profit organization promoting the exchange of business, trade, investment, technology, and culture between Sweden and the Greater Los Angeles area. In doing this, we aim to provide a broad spectrum of benefits and services to our Members. The Chamber also seeks to offer a common platform for Swedes living in Greater Los Angeles and Swedish-interested parties in order to build a valuable network that can be employed both professionally and personally.
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Los Angeles (SACC-GLA) was founded in 1988. It is one of 20 local chambers across the United States, cooperating under the umbrella of SACC-USA. Together the chambers form a nationwide Swedish-American business network, which has served as a forum for Swedish and American business people since it was founded in 1906.
SACC Greater Los Angeles (GLA) covers the geographic area of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, Kern, San Bernardino and Santa Barbara Counties, with a population of about 17 million people. SACC-GLA arranges seminars and business meetings, provides information about Sweden and the U.S. and directs Swedish and American business requests to appropriate contacts within the Chamber Membership.
SACC-GLA exchanges ideas with other business-oriented organizations in Southern California, and initiates social events with excellent networking opportunities. The traditional mission of the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce in the United States is to enhance business and trade between Sweden and the United States. SACC-GLA seeks to contribute to the development of relations between the business communities in Southern California and in Sweden by providing business contacts and commercial information. Our work on both a national and international level helps support new and existing businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area and beyond.
