Job: Planning & Policy Analyst

The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino is currently looking to fill a contract position for a PLANNING & POLICY ANALYST to lead the agency efforts on analysis of policy initiatives and Moving to Work (MTW) activities.

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Office of Business Administration, person will be responsible for:
  Developing and overseeing comprehensive planning & policy initiatives for the agency;
  Leading internal efforts relative to the Moving to Work (MTW) plan;
  Researching, recommending and assessing policies that support Housing Authority strategic and business objectives;
  Conducting complex administrative, management and legislative analysis relating to assigned activities;
  Conducting public hearings, briefings and presentations on the MTW plan

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS
  Bachelors degree or equivalent with emphasis in Public Administration or related field;
  Minimum of 4 years progressively responsible experience in organizational planning and policy development or related field;
  Strong analytical and research skills;

SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary: $28-$35/hr
Contract position for 1 year
9/80 work schedule

Benefits: Contract employee eligible for PERS with 8% contribution by contract employee. Not eligible for any other benefits.
