Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will manage, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, analyze and document production batch job processes occurring the on Mainframe, Unix, Windows, and SAP systems supporting Southern California Edison business. Typical responsibilities will include: monitoring of Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) and CPS/Redwood queues including looking at all jobs, the erroneous parent jobs, overdue status jobs, held jobs, and jobs with pending console messages; reporting CPS/Redwood connection issues between CPS and SAP; making entries into the daily log whenever various requests (e.g. running/holding jobs) are processed, documenting communications between groups and reporting job errors; analyzing and troubleshooting IBM mainframe batch job processes using CA11, IBM Mainframe utilities (JCL, JES, Job History Sub System, MVS, Network Data Mover, TSO/ SDSF/ ISPF); operating computer equipment, manipulating system and production batch workload; consulting with application developers and systems support personnel on the use of software utilities and hardware tools; monitoring production schedules to ensure production batch jobs complete as scheduled; consulting master and non-daily schedules; monitoring the implementation of new jobs or systems and assisting with Production Control tests; following established procedures by enforcing established computing standards; ensuring SOX compliance; responding to business partners requirements supporting production batch processing by utilizing Peregine and SAP notifications, or similar tracking systems; working in a flex schedule including day, night shifts and/or weekends; and other duties and responsibilities as requested.


Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must have at least two years experience working with Redwood/CPS, IBM Mainframe utilities and Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).

Core Competencies:
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Typically possesses two to three years experience scheduling and/or monitoring production jobs, and performing other computing operation functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and or experience working with computer errors and listing codes.
- Demonstrated experience working with information technologies policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience working with CA11, JCL, JES, Job History Sub System, MVS, Network Data Mover, TSO/ SDSF/ ISPF.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with Windows XP -Computer Operating System.
- Must be willing to work in a flex schedule including day, night shifts and/or weekends.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, other employees and management, including independently identifying their needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.
- Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects/assignments concurrently while adjusting to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience with tickets using Peregine and SAP notifications, or similar tracking systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
COMMENTS: Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position. This posting will result in two job openings.

Preferences:
Minimum of three years experience managing *CICS Customer Information Control System, END2END Mainframe UNIX Scheduler, EPC Extra Personal Client - Mainframe Management Console, FTP File Transfer Protocol, Hierarchical Storage
Management (HSM), Internet Explorer, MIMM -Multi Image Manager, Prose -Batch Job Processing/Restart Information, SMCS VTAM Console, Terminal Productivity Executive (TPE).
