Job Title: Senior Transmission/Distribution Project Manager

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and project management of the Transmission and Distribution Business Unit (TDBU) Project Management Organization Programs in Load Growth, Infrastructure Replacement, Grid Apps, Customer Interconnections, and Transmission Projects for the entire Southern California Edison (SCE) service territory. Typical responsibilities will include: leading cross functional team of Engineering and Technical Services (E&TS), IT, Power Delivery, and
outside vendors in execution of these projects; acting as PMO Program key consultant to SCE management; representing SCE at industry tradeshows, conferences, and working groups as SCE's Project Management expert; assisting in developing SCE's Project
strategic plan and business case reports on progress and changes to executive management; determining long term project management objectives for successful execution of projects to Edison's electrical system; providing input to senior management for the overall SCE Wires Investment Strategy; assisting in preparation of General Rate Case (GRC) testimony for Load Growth and Infrastructure Replacement Rate Case; managing and overseeing the scope, design, installation, and testing of the PMO Programs projects; establishing project management monitoring and measuring parameters for project progress tracking; presenting scope and status to TDBU managers in Construction, Planning, and Operations; approving budget change orders and readjusts project budget due to management requests; acting as the Single Point of Contact to the project sponsor during the development and execution phases of the project; leading and directing cross department organizations and personnel in accomplishing project tasks; assisting in determining annual scope with project sponsors; providing scope to the Technical Planning organization for work order preparation, obtaining permits and easements; ensuring project material is ordered and delivered on time for construction;
delivering project work to respective Regional Planning Managers and Regional Project Superintendents; managing direct reports, both SCE and supplemental in implementation of PMO Program plans and projects; providing strategic and technical leadership
and direction SCE project managers, project analysts and Project Control Engineers in monitoring and controlling the project tasks; supervising one to three project managers; and other duties and responsibilities as requested.


Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must have seven or more years of project, engineering and/or construction management experience plus five or more years of supervisory or program management experience.

Core Competencies:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or Technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated project management experience in the design and construction of electrical transmission, distribution and substation facilities.
- Demonstrated experience working with electric distribution and transmission systems.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing and collaborating with team members, all levels of management, different departments and vendors to develop solutions and facilitate cooperation between different parties.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation and delivery of presentations for executive and senior management.
- Demonstrated experience managing and implementing multiple projects concurrently, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance, as well as some experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience making strategic decisions regarding project scope, impact, policy development, and implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project scheduling applications and software.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC application, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Comments:
Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position. NERC/CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection). This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position
- Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing
necessary job duties.

Preferences:
Masters degree in Engineering or MBA. Project Management Certification.
