Job Title: Senior Risk Project Manager
Job Ref#: NB60428180EA Typical Responsibilities: The Risk RFO Project Manager will lead and participate on teams that negotiate and manage bilateral power contracts and will be involved in the Request for Offer (RFO) process to procure power in the market. Typical responsibilities will include: providing independent advice and information to the manager of Risk Control; overseeing the activities of analysts involved in confirming transactions and price data; analyzing key aspects of risk including independently deriving proprietary risk methodologies and calculating mark-to-market and termination values for contracts; preparing and submitting routine risk management reports to the CPUC; monitoring state and federal regulatory actions and assessing the effect of market/industry developments on SCE's procurement-related risks; presenting to the SCE risk control group and the SCE risk management committee on procurement-related risks; and performing other duties and responsibilities as required. Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience analyzing, negotiating and managing risk with experience working with large portfolios and transactions. Core Competencies: - Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience. - Typically possesses seven or more years experience in organizational programs, contract management, or risk management. - Typically possesses five or more years of supervisory or project management experience. - Demonstrated experience with contracting in a regulated industry. - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with fundamental risk analysis. - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with calculation of risk exposure and management of commodity contracts. - Demonstrated ability to analyze complex contracts associated with energy procurement. - Demonstrated ability to multitask and participate in multiple contract negotiations simultaneously. - Demonstrated experience managing and implementing small to medium projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance, as well as some experience managing cross-functional teams. - Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. - Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation. - Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Preferences: Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience with energy contracts. Important Notes
