Job: Servers

We are looking for Servers with four Diamond restaurant experience. Ideal candidate will have a minimum 3+ year’s hands on experience in high-volume Restaurants. Must be proficient in all aspects of the food service industry from Fine Dining to Banquets, also you must have experience with traditional Japanese cuisine. Hotel experience is a plus!

Due to the success and growth of our company, we are seeking talented people to fill positions for the front of the house in our new Japanese restaurant in Torrance, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Greeting guests in a polite manner, providing information and advice, taking orders, turning food orders into kitchen;
* Serving guests, delivering snacks, food and beverages, checking on and attending to the needs of guests;
* Preparing and setting up for the meal, cleaning the tables;
* Providing friendly, efficient and competent service, understanding the venue philosophy, menu and procedures, adhere to sanitary and service standards;
* Maintaining cheerful, positive attitude so that guests enjoy their time at the venue whether during a party or on a regular day;
* Referring guests to the management with any arising complaints, suggestions or issues; working closely with other team members; understanding kitchen procedures and staying updated on current events and offers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

* Great communication skills
* Fluent in English, Japanese is a plus
* Ability to multi-task
* Must be a team player, and know how to lead a team
* Ability to work under a high pressure environment
* Solid knowledge of Traditional Japanese cuisine is a big PLUS!

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of (3) years experience in a fine dining and high volume restaurant
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all types of people.
* Proven track record of having excellent customer service values.
* Ability to work varied shifts & days of the week
* Has a “drive for results” attitude
