We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer, Java in our Glendale, CA offices. This is hourly 6 month non-payroll worker position. We have incredible local reach and we’ve created an amazing local experience. All supported by bleeding edge technology: mobile SDKs, RESTful APIs and distributed computing. Develop leading-edge advertising solutions with large revenue impact Responsible for building applications from prototype to robust 24/7 production systems Collaborate with product and QA team members Document code and system designs Provide application support and systems maintenance

Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of Java and enterprise level RDBMS preferably, Oracle. Experience in developing low latency, highly scalable 24/7 web-based systems in a Linux environment. Solid understanding and practical experience of programming concepts such as concurrency and multi-threading. Experience with large-scale distributed transactional systems. Experience with Open Source Development systems, including JBoss and Spring. Ability to solve complex business problems within the constraints of the application. Experience with Web Services, Perl scripting and shell scripting is highly desired.

Education:

BS Computer Science required or related engineering field with 5 years professional experience or 2 years professional experience with MS.
