Description
The Mayfair Hotel in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and successful dynamic Marketing Director for our vibrant hotel. Experience in hotel marketing is key for this role which encompasses all aspects of developing business and campaigns specifically for this property. Reporting to our Director of Sales and Marketing, this role gives key input and must work well with property and corporate teams.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Marketing Director is responsible for managing and maintaining property website; planning and executing media strategy within budget levels; coordinate social media efforts; develop internal marketing communications; coordinate emarketing efforts; maintain multiple event calendars, and dealing with PR and social media campaigns. This role is responsible for both hotel and restaurant marketing.
• Work with property departments to ensure web sections are accurate, current and
effective.
• Ensure Internet Specials and other promotions are optimized for maximum sales.
• Work with agencies to ensure the web site is optimized for search engine returns
and PPC ads are providing maximum ROI.
• Execute agreed upon direct marketing campaigns.
• Create and implement local e-mail campaigns
• Coordinate with agency on execution of primary direct marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate e-mail capture program in all outlets.
• Coordinate advertising campaigns.
• Facilitate the tracking and reporting of all marketing expenditures.
• Social Media Champion for the property
• Managing all social media channels to include but not limited to Facebook,
Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare and Google+
• Coordinate social media campaigns
• Manage pro-active posting of management response to sites such as Trip Advisor
• Coordinate agreed upon public relation activities including press visits and events
with outside agency.
• Coordinate marketing and PR related to special events.
• Oversee hotel’s databases, ensuring PMS, dining and spa data is integrated
• Present a positive company image through all phases of public and/or customer
interaction.
• Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.


Requirements
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even
disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can
communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with
their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all
departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and
positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints.
