JC Resorts has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused, creative and detail oriented Human Resources Office Assistant / Part-time with strong communication and multi-tasking skills. Based at the Surf & Sand Resort, To maintain personnel records, provide clerical support and serve as a receptionist for the Human Resources Office.

To adhere and support the company's mission statement, polices, and service culture.
To maintain professional discretion and confidentiality at all times, never discussing Human Resources matters without the prior knowledge and approval of the Human Resources Director.
To be responsible for answering and screening incoming telephone calls, taking messages, and answering general questions, as needed.
To assist in conducting employment verifications according to company guidelines.
To screen incoming documents for accuracy before accepting them (i.e., W-4 forms, Time Off Requests, Time Punch Edit Request forms, PT forms, Direct Deposit forms, etc.).
To provide prompt, courteous and professional response to requests for personnel related issues.
To create and distribute routine interdepartmental communications, postings and handle mail distribution.
To execute special projects, as directed, meeting predetermined goals for quality and completion.
To copy and fax documents when applicable, including employee reservation request forms.
To order and maintain office supplies and forms.
To file personnel records and to prepare new hire folders, training materials, and benefits packets.
To continually strive to improve the efficiency of Human Resources related systems and procedures.
To create, post and distribute on monthly basis the employees' Birthday and Anniversary list, including preparing the Birthday and Anniversary cards for EOC's signature and mailing.
To maintain and update the Employee Communication Boards and Employee Newsletter on a monthly basis.
To submit and maintain shoes for crews request orders and to notify employees when orders arrived.
To assist in entering New Hires and scanning and logging HR related documents into HRIS system (i.e. Performance Reviews, Training, Disciplinary Actions, etc.).
To assist in planning, preparing and executing employee related events.
To present a professional, business-like image, whether in person, or over the telephone, to members of the staff, the management, and to the public.
To prepare communications as directed by Human Resources Director or Assistant Human Resources Director.
To assist in year-end purging process.
To follow all policies and procedures of JC Resorts LLC.
To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
To comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.
To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred. Must have a minimum one year experience in administrative position, preferably in Human Resources. Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must have comprehensive knowledge of all basic office procedures, and familiarity with all relevant office machines. Must display knowledge of currently accepted business phone etiquette. Valid driver's license required. Proof of personal automotive insurance coverage required. Hotel experience preferred. Basic accounting or payroll experience helpful.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works indoors throughout shift in temperature-controlled, clean and well lighted office. Bi-level structures. Extensive property.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 20% of shift. Sits at desk approximately 80% of shift. Uses personal computer approximately 50% of shift. Moderate to heavy use of phones, daily. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. over short distances. Must be able to work well under pressure.
