Job Description
Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is looking for a Propulsion Engineer to continue our 75 year tradition of developing advanced systems. This position will support an ADP (Advanced Development Programs) effort as a propulsion engineer senior. Specific experience with high-speed propulsion-related controls integration and testing is required. Responsibilities include working with the technical activities of a propulsion team engaged in conducting installed 1-d gas turbine performance simulations, inlet and exhaust system trade studies, assisting in defining propulsion installation specifications, propulsion ground testing, and analysis for component and full, high-speed vehicle applications. Specific experience with experimental propulsion-related testing is desired. The candidate must be comfortable planning technical tasks, including associated cost and schedule estimates. Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
--Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline with 9 plus years of experience OR a Masters degree in a engineering technical discipline with 7 plus years of experience.

-- Experience with the design and development of propulsion control systems
-- Experience with aircraft propulsion system design or integration
- Preferred candidate will have active clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret and SAR clearance with access
Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills
-- Experience with hypersonic inlet design and development
-- Experience with engine supplier coordination
-- Experience with subcontractor management
-- Experience with hypersonic experimental propulsion testing
