Job Description

Position Requirements

 

  

 

Education/Experience:

 
     
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social media, marketing, or communications 
  •  
  • 3-5 years of social media or digital marketing experience 
  •  
  • 2-3 years in similar management position at toy/entertainment/media company preferred 
  •  
  • Understanding of COPPA a plus 
  •  
 

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

 
     
  • Broad and deep understanding of social media, how to leverage and integrate it across a portfolio of brands, and how to harness it to drive brand awareness, engagement, and purchase intent 
  •  
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube 
  •  
  • Familiarity with social media analytics platforms 
  •  
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who loves to write 
  •  
  • Ability to switch between voices of various brand personalities, brand characters, corporate spokesperson, and consumer targets
  •  
  • Understanding of writing and generating content for both kid and mom audiences 
  •  
  • Ability to generate and manipulate visuals a plus 
  •  
  • Good communication, management, decision-making, and relationship-building skills 
  •  
  • Team player willing to absorb, enhance, and execute brand direction 
  •  
  • Love of popular culture 
  •  
  • Understanding of SEO and keywords 
  •  
  • Works closely with PR Coordinator to develop and share content  
  •  
 

Key Result Areas and Activities 

 

  

 

1. Social Media

 
     
  • Create plans that leverage social media for MGA and Little Tikes brands and enhance traditional marketing tactics 
  •  
  • Manage development and upkeep of social media content plans and calendars for all brands 
  •  
  • Establish and update all social media accounts 
  •  
  • Create, post, and publicize written content 
  •  
  • Post, refresh, and publicize all photographic, app, game, and video content available 
  •  
  • Monitor, respond to, and moderate community across all social media platforms 
  •  
  • Develop and execute tactics that integrate social media sites 
  •  
  • Compile metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of social initiatives 
  •  
  • Feed back data (both quantitative and qualitative) to help inform future marketing and product direction 
  •  
  • Identify and educate teams on emerging social media technologies and trends 
  •  
  • Work closely with legal counterparts to ensure adherence to rules and guidelines around social media marketing
  •  
 

2. Administrative & Reporting

 
     
  • Communicate with colleagues to understand requirements, determine priorities, objectives, and scope 
  •  
  • Contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions 
  •  
  • Participate in planning and initial project conception 
  •  
  • Weekly generate status reports for all brands
  •  
  • Perform other assignments as requested
