Candidate will act as the Northrop Grumman technicalinterface and on-site company representative to the customer in providingsustaining engineering support in resolving issues arising from operations,maintenance, modifications and other logistics and engineering supportactivities involving aircraft SLO and structure systems within establishedengineering guidelines.

  • Be a self-starter, work without direct supervision
  • Integrate into a high tempo work environment supporting aircraft operations and maintenance
  • Identify technical issues and recommend solutions to support the engineering disposition process and technical data updates within customer time objectives
  • Provide engineering and aircraft maintenance guidance to military/civilian maintainers, depot technicians and engineers with confidence and authority
  • Accomplish in-depth analysis on all proposed and pending engineering changes and monitor systems performance indicators to identify emerging failure trends and provide recommendations to reduce aircraft down time, improve maintenance practices and advise on LO and structures system maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate required vendor and engineering support during investigation, fact finding, and resolution/disposition
  • Utilize technical and engineering data to perform problem analysis at the subsystem level
  • Manage, track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, and provide periodic status to customers and program management team
  • Research, develop, and disseminate activity reports, Urgent Field Notices, and other engineering products to supplement published engineering technical data
  • Combine engineering knowledge with real world maintenance experience
  • Support program technical interchange meetings and program plans development relating to problem analysis, engineering dispositions and in-house technical support
  • Provide on-site support as requested by customer, site manager or program management
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills and engage with multiple engineering disciplines, Field Support Engineers, military maintenance/operations personnel and other contractors on a regular basis to resolve maintenance issues that would otherwise lead to aircraft downtime


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  •  Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Low Observable maintenance experience
  • Previous access to Special Access Programs
  • Advanced composite and airframe repair experience
  • Field service or prior military experience
  • Experience interfacing with diverse teams of contractors, military customers, and depot management
  • Working knowledge of engineering tools such as CATIA, VAS, VA, PDM
  • Working knowledge of engineering applications
