Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a Supply ChainPlanning Specialist (Level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverseindividuals. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The candidate for this position will beresponsible for all aspects of Shortage Management for Space Systems including,but not limited to the following:
Defines and develops materialstrategy. Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates andprioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements,production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products. Participates inmake/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; productphase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management andproduct-line management. Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements.Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material RequirementsPlanning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independentBill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements. Assesses rough-cut capacity for currentand short-term manufacturing requirements. Creates/reduces supply requirementsbased on inventory adjustments. Participates in long-term capacity and resourceplanning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well asexisting product line phase-outs. Interfaces with Source process area regardinginventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed. Creates/releasesrequisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzeslead times and identifies critical path procurements. Strong analytical and problem solving skills needed.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain, Planning, or Project Management experience or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality
- Proficient in using SAP for material data analysis
- Experience with Critical Path Management, FAR and DFAR.
- Prior aerospace experience (F/A-18 and F-35 Shortage Management Process familiarity is a plus)
- Current active DOD clearance
