The position(s) described here are for Walgreens Infusions Services, a former subsidiary of Walgreens Co. (“Walgreens”).  Walgreens Infusion Services became a new independent, privately-held company on 4/7/2015 following the acquisition of a majority interest in the company by Madison Dearborn Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Chicago.  Walgreens will retain a significant minority interest in the new company and will have representatives on the company’s board of directors. As such, Walgreens will continue to have a role in ensuring the future success of the new company

 

 

Job Duties Include:  The LPN/LVN Nursing Clinical Coordinator is a qualified, licensed professional who is responsible to assist the Nurse Manager and General Manager in the compliance of patients with prescribed drug therapies in accordance with the Walgreens policies, Federal, State, professional standards of practice and accrediting body requirements. Supports weekend activities with regards to effective agency operations and communications. Supports the implementation of the Plan of Care. Knowledgeable of documentation and billing requirements for home health/ infusion care goods and services. Responsible for the coordination of patient case scheduling of patients primarily on Friday/Saturday/Sunday as needed including on-call responsibilities as well as evening on-call responsibilities as necessary. Participates in QA/QI of all nursing plans of treatment and nursing notes and other duties as assigned.

Assists with the coordination of all agency activities related to nursing including direct and indirect patient services. Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Facilitates and attends required in-services. Presents and/or attends all Walgreens required in-services. Obtains all educational requirements necessary to maintain professional license and certifications. Participates as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee, Infection Control and process improvement team activities, including chart audits.  Participates in the nursing department on-call responsibilities for appropriate patient visits as required.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • LPN or LVN with a license in the current state of practice.
  • Required licensure in Nursing as granted by current state of practice. 
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Basic email skills, internet explorer (sending, receiving, and organizing communications).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example:  opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Required satisfactory completion of Infusion Therapy course work.
  • At least 1 year of previous infusion experience.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example:  opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and/or running a slide show).
